II. Various simulation technologies play a different role

in order to better simulate and reproduce China's calligraphy and painting treasures, several generations of printing reproduction workers have made arduous efforts to continuously explore, research and practice, using different printing processes and different printing materials for simulation reproduction, and have new development and improvement in each historical stage, approaching the original effect step by step. In fact, modern digital high simulation replication technology is also the inheritance and development of China's traditional simulation replication technology. For example:

1 Recently, the "Keluo plate" photosensitive plate, which reflects the printing technology level of more than 80 years ago, was discovered for the first time in Jinan, which was a relatively advanced technology at that time. It is a process technology that takes the glass as the plate base, coating a layer of photosensitive adhesive made of dichromate and gelatin on the glass plate, and then making it into a plate for printing after close contact exposure (printing) with photographic negatives. It is mostly used for printing precious pictures, paintings, inscriptions, etc

the characteristic of collotype printing is that it can be lifelike and vivid, retain the charm of traditional Chinese painting, and can be printed in a certain amount. However, it has high requirements for plate making technology, mainly relying on manual sketching. Without superb plate making skills, it is difficult to make high-quality copies

2, the woodblock watermark of Beijing rongbaozhai is a unique set of traditional printing technology in China. It is a kind of drawing and dividing the original, carving several chromatic plates on the hardwood, and overprinting them with rice paper and water-soluble pigments one by one. It can reproduce the original realistically, and is still loved by people today. However, due to manual operation, long production cycle, high cost and difficult process technology, it can only be used as a few high-quality printing

3. With the progress of technology, offset printing technology is used to simulate reproduction, which has the advantage of batch printing. For this reason, since the 1950s, the printing workers in our country have continuously studied and practiced, so that the replication of national treasure calligraphy and painting has reached a high degree of simulation. For example:

① in 1959, Beijing Xinhua printing factory printed a large-scale high-end picture album "China" when celebrating the tenth anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China. As an innovative technology presented by the factory, it used photographic color separation and offset printing technology to print on rice paper, and printed a picture of "Xiangfei" with 8-color technology. It was successful, and was praised by the chief editor liaochengzhi

② the 1201 factory and the Chinese printing company have specially organized scientific and technological personnel to carry out research and production. The rice paper simulation of traditional Chinese paintings using electronic color separation and offset printing technology has printed many paintings collected in the Forbidden City and the calligraphy and painting art of famous modern painters, raising the simulation degree to a new level

③ since the 1950s, Shanghai Fine Arts printing factory has been researching and practicing the limited printing of rice paper imitation traditional Chinese paintings of offset printing process, and has successively printed more than 100 representative works of Shanghai Museum paintings and modern famous painters, which have won international gold awards for many times. They printed on rice paper with 3001pi lines that exceeded visual recognition, maintaining the verve of the original work. However, due to the limitations of process technology, the technical difficulties are great, the test results are complex, the production cycle is long, the cost is high, and there are still some imperfections to be further developed and studied
